Observing the works of Eva Breitfuß, one notices a multiplicity of expressive modes, which have an identifying, clear, and distinctive style. It is as if one immersed oneself in spheres that lead to geographies further expanding to infinity. They reveal themselves in galaxies that become imprints of light and lead to narratives that conform to the paths of the artist's thought, and finds the way into the essentiality of synthesis. The rhythmicity of the sketches in frames, repeated in succession, leads to a painting where form has lost its descriptive function and leaves space for the often rarefied sign and color. Her works are stories revealing themselves in light and soft colors. Like mandalas, they describe paths that represent the highest and deepest values of life. They are journeys of thought originating signs and ideal geometries that want to escape the rules harnessing creative spontaneity. It is the experience of freedom in both lines and speech that is lost in brushstrokes and expanding luminescences. In the stylizations, Eva Breitfuß brings out the imaginary connections with time and space, becoming tangible in the creative act. The spirals of thought emerge in the joy of living and in the hope of finding a world that leaves room for the essentiality of the formal and archaic contents inherent in man. Harmony of notes, curved and closed lines, larger or smaller, create patterns of paths that harness the imagination bringing thoughts back to the experiences of living, where the rhythm of a secret and melancholic music escapes the analysis of the rational. The traces of inner freedom seem to follow real paths. They become level curves punctuated by gardens of signs. Thus her creative inspiration goes into the mystery. It clarifies itself in visible expression that, in the denial of reassuring forms and of the real, brings us back to the essence of man now disturbed by chaotic and disruptive living, where appearance is more important than being and living in harmony with creation. The artist's analysis captures the search for significant elements that move away from real experience to reveal themselves in a reality detached from the concrete and in equilibrium linked to the elaboration of thought. In the world of the artist there is no disruptive force of color that wants to overwhelm everything to highlight concepts. Rather, the delicate tones give meaning to the subtle traits that unravel in following thought. Thus, in Eva Breitfuß works, there emerges the creative force guided by imagination and genius that pushes to freedom and gives meaning to the reference points marked with colored circumferences and shaded in lighter tones that are never dissonant or lacerating. Soft intersections of rays of lines expand, dissolving the color in brushstrokes that vibrate in evanescent colors that have become an expression of the artist's understanding. With her works, she leads us to an immersion in her world that aims to bring out the value of life in peace and harmony with nature.

Biography
Eva Breitfuß was born in Erlangen, Germany and currently resides in Nürnberg, Germany. She also lived and worked in New York, from 1999 – 2005.
Eva is internationally recognized for her “Art Of Presence”. Primarily a visual artist, her artistic expression extends to different modalities of movement and working with others “who long to enter the vast space of Consciousness and connect with their own soul.”
The artist is represented by the historical Galleria d'Arte Mentana in Florence, Italy, Art Screen TV Gallery, Switzerland and Artio Art Gallery in Toronto, Canada. Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide including those held at Louvre Museum in Paris, France, the MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) in Barcelona, Spain, London, United Kingdom, Florence, Venice, Milan, Matera, Lecce in Italy and New York, Miami, Los Angeles in the USA.
Eva’s many awards include “The International Art Prize Leonardo Da Vinci 'The Universal Artist' 2022& 2023“, "The International Art Prize Caravaggio 'Great Master of Art' 2022“, “The International Art Prize Donatello 2023”, “The International Prize PEGASUS for the Arts“, “The International Prize Michelangelo 2023“, Premio ZEUS 'Il Re degli Dei Olimpi’ 2022 and The High Recognition of visual arts “MEDUSA“ 2023, awarded by Accademia Italia in Arte Nel Mondo. The Premio ‘Oscar della Creatività’ 2023, the 1. Premio ‘Protagonisti Dell’ Arte’ 2023 and the Trofeo Artista dell’Anno 2024 among others.
She received the Museum Certificate of the Pinacotheca, Museum of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 for participation in the Luxembourg Art Prize.
Several publications have featured Eva and her artwork including the published “Interview with Eva Breitfuß” in Art International Contemporary Magazine and ART ON WORLD an International Magazine of art and finance and several volumes of the Magazine Contemporary Celebrity Masters. Her artwork was part of the Art Book SEGNALATI LONDON, which she was selected with one of her works for the cover. Eva’s art is published at the Art book ARTISTI 2023 and 2024 (Annuario Internationale D’Arte Contemporanea), CAM 59/2023 (Catalogo Dell’ Arte Moderna) and the Special Edition ‘New York 2023’ of ATLANTE D‘LL ARTE CONTEMPORANEA - Atlas of Contemporary Art, published by Start Group Corporate Patron of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Eva’s art has been acquired for several international private and corporate collections such as the Collection and Foundation of Marianne and Hans Friedrich Defet and Da Vinci enterprise.
She is a member of the invitational Associate Artists Gallery of Manhattan Arts International, an organization that promotes artistic excellence based in NY USA and a Honorary Associate Member 2024 of the Academy ‘Italy in Art in the World’ Cultural Association.
Artist Statement
“My intention is to inspire an opening to consciousness, to presence and greater awareness. Whether understood or not, we each have the capacity to awaken to our own soul. My work is an expression of that truth. My paintings are an invitation. Regardless of the medium, Consciousness is at the center and I begin there. In the paintings, I start from the center of concentric circles, structures and lines. Though seemingly simple, it is the quintessence of a greater reality, quiet yet dynamic. I feel it as visual poetry where color and texture can transmit feelings, emotions and energy. Much can be expressed with only lines, dots and the silence between them. Color is of prime importance in my work. It represents the light reflected in each one of us. Every painting arises from the center of being, from a stillness that is dynamic, alive and vibrant. My paintings are very personal expressions. Yet, at the same time, they are an attempt to get closer to the soul of who we are at our most essential level.“

EVA BREITFUSS: 'UNITY' - 2012
“It is only through painting that one is able to grasp the complexity of reality - because it can represent the feelings and the perspectives in their simultaneity.”
The exhibition in the Kellerhaus Pommersfelden offers us the opportunity for an exciting insight into the current work of Eva Breitfuß. She has her studio in the studio and gallery house Defet in Nuremberg, and since 2006. Shortly before, the artist, who was born in Erlangen, returned to Germany after a seven-year stay from America. In the USA she completed her studies to become a Brennan Healing Science Practitioner®. She has always been interested in the different dimensions of perception, intuition and consciousness and has explored them in a creative way. She herself sums it up with the following words: "My work is based on new consciousness. It is an exploration of different levels of consciousness, which is brought forth and brought to life by the vital power of art, namely to capture imaginaries of possible being."
Already the exhibition title, UNITY = Unity / Wholeness, which also refers to a brand new series of works, refers to the deliberately multidimensional, multi-layered, in a certain way also open to interpretation, associative possibilities that are characteristic of the artist's oeuvre as a whole: Thus, unity / The One (Latin unum) philosophically stands for a "supreme principle" (see Wikipedia). "Out of everything one and out of one everything". According to Heraclitus, the unifying ground that makes possible the universal unity and wholeness of the cosmos is the Logos, that is, a lawfulness that permeates the world. One could perhaps also speak of divine energy or also of microcosm and macrocosm. However - especially for Heraclitus this principle meant that the One is constituted by the interaction of many and opposites. In terms of the natural sciences, it is cells that are among the smallest living units within living organisms. These small, round plastic bodies carry and store information, serve for the exchange of substances, for the emergence and maintenance of life and vitality.
And what is the situation in art? Is there something comparably elementary in this respect, something that connects everything? Formally seen this is interestingly the POINT and the, again from many points developing line, as the next larger unit, which opens the possibility finally to spread out to surfaces.
At the latest now it can be stated: Eva Breitfuß thematizes in her light objects, thread works and dot paintings not only elementary phenomena such as color, energy, light, but is beyond that with her visual language of a universal world language and thus a complex reality on the trail - and with maximum intensity with minimal use of means always on the threshold of the immaterial and imaginary. (The fact that there is nothing superfluous is, after all, an important criterion that also stands for quality in art!)
Eva Breitfuß's central concern is to comprehend, explore, transform and transport realities and energies of time, space and nature by means of art. All presented artworks are unique, and even if they are arranged in series of works, each of them always forms a separate entity. For the exhibition in the Kellerhaus, the respective works were specially adapted to the respective room situations, this works so well that one could think the pictures were made especially for it.
The result is: works reduced to the essential, which are simple and yet of quiet dynamism, subtle poetry, intense presence, sometimes grandiose luminosity and magnetic attraction.

Die Ausstellung im Kellerhaus Pommersfelden bietet uns die Gelegenheit zu einem spannenden Einblick in das aktuelle Schaffen von Eva Breitfuß. Sie hat ihr Atelier im Atelier- und Galeriehaus Defet in Nürnberg, und zwar seit 2006. Kurz zuvor kehrte die in Erlangen geborene Künstlerin, nach einem siebenjährigen Aufenthalt aus Amerika, wieder nach Deutschland zurück. In den USA absolvierte sie ihr Studium zum Brennan Healing Science Practitioner®. Denn schon immer hat sie sich für die verschiedenen Dimensionen von Wahrnehmung, Intuition und Bewusstsein interessiert und diese auf schöpferische Weise erforscht. Sie selbst bringt es mit folgenden Worten auf den Punkt: „Meine Arbeit basiert auf neuem Bewusstsein. Es ist eine Auseinandersetzung mit verschiedenen Bewusstseinsebenen, welche durch die vitale Kraft der Kunst, nämlich Imaginationen möglichen Seins zu erfassen, hervorgebracht und lebendig wird.“
Schon der Ausstellungstitel, UNITY = Einheit / Ganzheit, der sich auch auf eine brandneue Werkreihe bezieht, verweist auf die bewusst multidimensionalen, vielschichtigen, in bestimmter Weise auch interpretationsoffen Assoziationsmöglichkeiten, die charakteristisch für das Gesamtwerk der Künstlerin sind: So steht Einheit / Das Eine (lateinisch unum) philosophisch betrachtet für ein „höchstes Prinzip“ (siehe Wikipedia). „Aus allem eines und aus einem alles“. Laut Heraklit ist der einigende Grund, der die universale Einheit und Ganzheit des Kosmos ermöglicht, der Logos, also eine die Welt durchwirkende Gesetzmäßigkeit. Man könnte vielleicht auch von göttlicher Energie oder auch von Mikro- und Makrokosmos sprechen. Wie auch immer – insbesondere für Heraklit bedeutete dieses Prinzip, dass sich das Eine durchaus aus dem Zusammenwirken von Vielem und Gegensätzlichem konstituiert.
Im Hinblick auf die Naturwissenschaften sind es Zellen, die zu den kleinsten lebenden Einheiten innerhalb lebender Organismen zählen. Diese kleinen, runden plastischen Körperchen tragen und speichern Informationen, dienen zum Austausch von Stoffen, zur Entstehung und Erhaltung von Leben und Lebendigkeit.
Und wie verhält es sich nun in der Kunst? Gibt es im Hinblick darauf etwas vergleichbar Elementares, alles Verbindende? Formal gesehen ist dies interessanter Weise der PUNKT und die, wiederum aus vielen Punkten sich entwickelnde Linie, als nächstgrößere Einheit, die die Möglichkeit eröffnet sich schließlich zu Flächen auszubreiten.
Spätestens jetzt lässt sich feststellen: Eva Breitfuß thematisiert in Ihren Lichtobjekten, Fädenarbeiten und Dot-Paintings nicht nur elementare Phänomene wie Farbe, Energie, Licht, sondern ist darüber hinaus mit ihrer Bildsprache einer universellen Weltsprache und somit einer komplexen Wirklichkeit auf der Spur - und das mit maximaler Intensität bei minimalem Einsatz der Mittel immer an der Schwelle zum Immateriellen und Imaginären. (Dass es nicht Überflüssiges gibt, ist ja ein wichtiges Kriterium, das auch für die Qualität in der Kunst steht!)
Eva Breitfuß zentrales Anliegen ist es, Gegebenheiten und Energien von Zeit, Raum und Natur mittels Kunst zu begreifen, zu erforschen, zu transformieren und zu transportieren. Alle präsentierten Kunstwerke sind Unikate, und selbst dann, wenn sie zu Werk-Reihen angeordnet werden, bildet jedes für sich immer auch eine eigene Einheit. Für die Ausstellung im Kellerhaus wurden die jeweiligen Werke speziell auf die jeweilige Raumsituationen abgestimmt, dies funktioniert so hervorragend, dass man meinen könnte die Bilder wurden speziell dafür gemacht.
Das Ergebnis ist: Auf das wesentliche reduzierte Werke, die schlicht und dennoch von stiller Dynamik, subtiler Poesie, intensiver Präsenz, teilweise grandioser Leuchtkraft und magnetischer Anziehungskraft sind.
